Rebekah Shufelt is award winning social impact leader and producer, widely recognized for her bold work in driving cultural change, gender parity and inclusion, focusing on work that redefines how women are seen in the media driven by the female vision.

As a Producer, she is currently in development on a feature documentary film 'In Her Own Words' featuring Gretchen Carlson about the fierce battle to end systemic discrimination in the workplace. She also produced a narrative short film, 'Saung,' filmed entirely in Myanmar about a young boy's quest to overcome fear through curiosity. She has produced numerous projects in advertising.
Previously, Rebekah led the media operations for the Miss America 2020 live broadcast show working with NBC Entertainment and Mohegan Sun. Rebekah also produced the Red Carpet prior to the competition with the celebrity judges, hosts and 51 Miss America candidates.
For the past decade, Rebekah has focused on activating her unique public / private network cultivated in global advertising for social good and developing partnerships and collaborations that are often first-of-its-kind and push the boundaries of culture.

As a Global Special Projects Director at VMLY&R (formerly Y&R), Rebekah was instrumental in launching Inspire Change, the social impact practice at one the world’s largest global advertising and communications agencies.
She was also the catalyst for the rebranding of Miss America Organization – making Miss America 2.0 one of the most talk about rebrands and cultural conversations of the year. It led to massive media coverage including trending #1 on Twitter, on the front page of every newspaper (New York Times to The Guardian), topic of every news show and late-night talk shows including being featured on center stage at Cannes Lions in 2018. With no media budget, #byebyebikini yielded 7.5 billion impressions - 3.75 billion of which were earned in 48 hours.

The viral launch of Miss America 2.0 netted a prestigious 2019 Cannes Bronze Lions in PR and 2019 Bronze Award from Gerety, a new award organization that is set to redefine the standard of advertising through the female vision.

The foundation of Rebekah’s career in advertising has been as a trusted advisor and proxy for several c-level global leaders at Y&R. She has also been involved in many new business pitches including project managing the pitch logistics of winning $450+ million U.S. Census 2020 pitch.

Rebekah is also globally recognized for being a champion and mentor to girls and women. She has developed world class programs for the mentees of prestigious Fortune / U.S. State Department Global Woman’s Mentorship Program for a decade including leaders from Ghana, Zimbabwe, Myanmar, India, Kenya, China, Argentina, Nigeria and Colombia. She also led the partnership developments for The Whole Story Project, an award winning augmented reality campaign and 2018 Fast Company’s World Changing Ideas finalist, that lead to actual female statuary finally being placed in Central Park and creative producer of Future Self, a video mentoring series of aspirational women, including a Deputy Director at NASA. She also has advised and coached several global nonprofits. Rebekah has a B.A. in Art and Business.
